Designed and developed in the UK by the in-house Saplings design team, the innovative Glideaway is the only gliding cot bed available to buy, and will be on sale at nursery retailers from the end of November 2010. Based on the gliding cribs that have been used for newborn babies for generations, the Glideaway has an in-built gliding mechanism to soothe babies and toddlers to sleep and in addition to the gliding function, which has two locking mechanisms, the Cot Bed has three different heights for the mattress base, fixed sides with teething rails as a Cot, and then converts easily into a Junior Bed using the separate foot end panel provided. Made from smooth replenished pine, in a choice of White or Country Pine finish, the Glideaway has tongue and groove effect panelled ends with curved tops, and comes with two spacious easy glide drawers, which can still be used when the Cot is converted into a Junior Bed.
